DESCRIPTION:Given the sad postponement of our planned 2020 National Rally in Hahndorf earlier this year members expressed an interest in getting together for an informal weekend when travel restrictions had eased sufficiently to allow us to confidently book a venue. \nThe NSW Club’s President’s Weekend is traditionally held in November\, Jim Gellett\, our President proposed that it would be ideal to combine that week end with this get together and with the help of Richard Bowen in Victoria and committed New South Wales members a week end away in a location more or less mid-way between Melbourne and Sydney has been planned and we have chosen the town of Merimbula as our week end destination. \nMerimbula is about 580 km north east from Melbourne along the Princes Highway and about 530 km south from Sydney. It is located on the spectacular south coast of New South Wales and handy to Eden\, Bega and Tathra and a popular holiday destination. \nThe accommodation chosen is at Pelican Motor Inn where a room should be in the region of $130.00 per night with continental breakfast extra at $20.00 per person. Some rooms maybe more if a suite or with extra facilities. Overflow rooms are available at Summerhill Motel next door. \nWe have arranged a $25.00 per head BYOG and soft drink barbecue on Friday night at the motel’s marquee and we will arrange reasonably priced venues for dinner on Saturday and Sunday\, to be advised. DESCRIPTION:This famous event consists of a picnic in the early evening in January at a waterfront venue. Attendees bring their own picnic meal and drinks (possibly including a cocktail) and share stories with each other. A simple but effective format. This year the event is being held in the south side of Sydney for the first time. The venue is Burnum Burnum Reserve at Woronora. Directions are as follows: \nFrom Hume Highway\, Bankstown take Stacey St.\, which becomes Fairford Rd\, which becomes Davies Rd\, which becomes Alfords Point Rd\, follow through to The Bangor Bypass & turn Left. Follow across the high level bridge over the Woronora river & take the off ramp to Woronora. Proceed through the windy section to the bottom of the hill & turn right into Burnam Burnam reserve\, under the high level bridge. \nThe event starts from 4:30pm

DESCRIPTION:The details of the President’s weekend are as follows:\nDestination Cowra NSW on Saturday 9th November. Accommodation arranged at the Countryman Motor Inn\, Phone early for bookings 02 6342 3177 rooms from $109 to $119 per night depending on requirements. A group Breakfast has been arranged for Sunday morning at $20 per head. Lunch on Saturday will be a bring your own Picnic lunch\, meeting at the Peace Park in Bathurst by about 12:30. (Turn right at the Red Rooster\,) Saturday afternoon will also include a visit to the Japanese Gardens & the Cowra Breakout site. Please let Jim Know if you are intending to take part in this activity as we need to book with the Garden people. On Sunday morning for those interested we have been invited down to Grenfell for morning tea at Ian & Karen Brenner’s place at 10:30. A garage crawl has been arranged.
