SP250 Details – 102552

Orig DDM009 (NSW). This car (the number 3 car) was raced by Ian Geogeghan. This car raced and won at Warwick Farm July 1961, Warwick Farm November 1961, Lakeside November 1961,Katoomba January 1962, Warwick Farm February 1962, and Bathurst April 1962. The car competed in the Production Sports Cars and G.T. categories and Ian held the production sports car record at Warwick Farm with 2m (2.1s better than the Austin-Healey of Bob Cutler). Chassis 102552 was bought more than 10 years ago and is partly restored. It was very battered with a major front end smash repair and other repaired body damage. It also has a few reinforcing struts welded to the chassis. The smashes and welding may have come after the Geoghegans had finished with the car. The car was subsequently owned by Clyde Hodgins.

K.S. Full body off restoration and stripped down to last nut and bolt. Rolling chassis now completely rebuilt ready for re-installation of body which has been refurbished and is close to being ready to finish paint. Many new parts have been used. All chrome-work parts finished.
