This famous event consists of a picnic in the early evening in January at a waterfront venue. Attendees bring their own picnic meal and drinks (possibly including a cocktail) and share stories with each other. A simple but effective format. This year the event is being held in the south side of Sydney for the first time. The venue is Burnum Burnum Reserve at Woronora. Directions are as follows:
From Hume Highway, Bankstown take Stacey St., which becomes Fairford Rd, which becomes Davies Rd, which becomes Alfords Point Rd, follow through to The Bangor Bypass & turn Left. Follow across the high level bridge over the Woronora river & take the off ramp to Woronora. Proceed through the windy section to the bottom of the hill & turn right into Burnam Burnam reserve, under the high level bridge.
The event starts from 4:30pm
